Starting Your Day
The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast is offered from 7:30-8:00a.m. in the cafeteria; the entrance is in the rear of the building. There is no student entry prior to 7:30 a.m. At 7:50 a.m., students may enter the building either through the cafeteria or the front entrance facing Dukeland Street.
Lunchtime!
Lunch is served from 10:20am-12:30pm, in tow lunch periods. A student’s lunch period is determined by the location of their 3rd period class. Students who have class in the main office hallway or in the library hallway, have first lunch, Lunch A. Students who have a third period class that meets on the foundation floor(downstairs) or in the cafeteria hallway have second lunch, Lunch B. Students are allowed to bring their own lunches. They are not allowed to have food delivered to campus or to leave campus to get outside food during lunch.
Ending Your Day
Classes end at 2:50 p.m. By 3:00pm, students should either have left the building or made their way to a supervised after-school activity like clubs or office hours. The building will remain open until 4:30p.m., which is closing time. At that time, students must leave campus and the school’s adult supervision wraps up for the day.
We will utilize our enrichment day schedules to incorporate more community activities into our school year and calendar. These days can be for advisory, assemblies, pep rallies, Deans’ Hour events, and more. More information about each enrichment day will be available closer to each date. Two hour delays due to weather will be announced by the school district and then communicated out to families and staff as soon as possible. You can also stay up to date by the following our school and the school district on social media to stay in the loop about any updates.
When the district announces an early release day, we will follow the schedule above. The district calendar is available here. Students will dismiss at noon on early release days.
